The Sandwich Glass Museum exhibits nearly 5,000 pieces of glass produced at the Boston & Sandwich Glass Company between 1825 and 1888. Natural light pours through the spectacular colors as other exhibits describe how substantial Sandwich's contributions were at the dawn of the Industrial Revolution. The Sandwich Glass Museum combines classic exhibits of its extensive collection with state-of-the-art technology used to bring many of the new installations to life.
Summer hours:The museum is open April 1 - December 31 daily 9:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. In order to see everything the Museum has to offer we recommend that you plan to be here no later than 3:30 p.m.
Winter hours: The Museum will be closed the month of January and will reopen in February. The hours in February and March will be Wed.-Sun. 9:30-4:00.
$5.00 for adults, $1.25 for kids 6-14, free for 6 and under, group rates available please see bus tours.
The Museum is located at the corner of Rt.130 and Tupper Road at 129 Main st. Sandwich MA. across the street from the Sandwich Town Hall.
From the Mid-Cape Highway (Rte.6):
Take exit #2 and head north(left off of the exit ramp) until you enter Sandwich Village. Bear left after Main Street turn, Museum is on the right opposite Old Town Hall.
From Rte. 28:
From the Sagamore Bridge/Bourne take Route 6A East to Route 130 (turn right) - Continue on 130 South for about 3 miles. The Museum will be on your left directly opposite the Old Town Hall - at the corner of 130 and Tupper Road.
From Boston and points north:
Take Rte. 3 south across the Sagamore Bridge. Route 3 becomes Rte. 6 at the bridge. Follow the directions from the Mid-Cape Highway. Allow one hour from downtown Boston in normal traffic.
